MEP BIM

Professional MEP BIM modeling for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, delivering accurate Revit models, coordinated layouts, and construction-ready documentation.

MEP coordination support with particular strength in the interface zones that most affect landscape and site works — buried utilities, plant room services, and irrigation-adjacent electrical and drainage routing.

Overview

MEP BIM Modeling (LOD 200–400)

We develop intelligent Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) BIM models from concept design (LOD 200) through detailed coordination and construction-ready deliverables (LOD 400). Our models include HVAC ductwork, chilled water and piping systems, plumbing networks, drainage systems, fire protection, electrical conduits, cable trays, lighting, power distribution, communication systems, equipment, supports, and associated components. Every system is modeled with accurate geometry, elevations, clearances, and technical data to support efficient coordination and construction.

Buried Utility Coordination

Underground utility corridors are often the most congested areas of a project. We coordinate MEP services with irrigation networks, stormwater drainage, potable water lines, sewer systems, electrical infrastructure, communication ducts, landscape utilities, retaining structures, and foundations. This integrated BIM workflow identifies conflicts before excavation, reducing rework, protecting critical infrastructure, and improving installation efficiency.

Multi-Discipline BIM Coordination

Our MEP models are fully coordinated with Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Landscape disciplines within a shared BIM environment. We verify equipment locations, ceiling spaces, plant rooms, risers, service shafts, penetrations, access requirements, maintenance clearances, and utility interfaces to ensure all systems integrate seamlessly without compromising functionality or constructability.

Clash Detection & BIM Coordination

Using Autodesk Navisworks and industry-standard BIM coordination workflows, we perform comprehensive clash detection between MEP systems and architectural, structural, civil, and landscape models. Conflicts involving ducts, pipes, cable trays, conduits, structural beams, ceilings, foundations, underground services, irrigation networks, and utility crossings are identified and resolved before construction, minimizing costly site modifications and project delays.

Construction-Ready MEP Documentation

Our coordinated BIM models generate accurate shop drawings, coordinated service layouts, reflected ceiling plans, plant room layouts, equipment schedules, pipe and duct sections, electrical layouts, installation details, builder's work drawings, penetration drawings, and quantity take-offs. These deliverables provide contractors with precise construction information, improving installation quality and reducing interpretation errors.

Quality Assurance & Technical Validation

Every MEP model undergoes a rigorous QA/QC process before delivery. We validate routing accuracy, pipe gradients, duct sizing, equipment clearances, maintenance access, service coordination, system connectivity, elevations, dimensions, and compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and industry standards. This ensures every model is technically accurate, fully coordinated, and ready for construction.

At Asterwix, we deliver coordinated MEP BIM solutions that enhance collaboration, eliminate clashes, optimize service routing, reduce construction risks, and provide contractors with reliable, construction-ready information for efficient project delivery.
